BASIC GREEN JUICE
This green juice recipe is used extensively in the 7-Day Just Juice Diet. You can easily double it to make your recommended daily quart (1 liter). The parsley and kale provide strong flavors, but the celery and lemon mellow the intensity.
15 to 20 sprigs parsley
15 leaves lacinato kale
2 tablespoons (30 ml) freshly squeezed lemon juice (about ½ lemon)
Juice half the celery, then half the parsley, then half the kale. Repeat in this order with the remaining vegetables. Stir in the lemon juice.
Mild Green Juice: If Basic Green Juice is too “green” tasting for you, add 1 to 2 cucumbers. Makes about 2½ cups (625 ml).
